Press Release Nostalgia Anew – Trend Collection

2019-06-11

Strong fashion trends and eras have the ability to inspire over time and return again and again. Always in new twisted versions. The 1950s and 1960s with their distinctive patterns, materials, and colors are some of those rich epochs. Eager to be reinterpreted and played with.

In Trend Collection Nostalgia Anew, Rebel Walls’ design department highlights new aspects of the time of young rebels. The controlled fifties turned into the more liberal sixties and the vibrant breakpoint between the two very different decades still inspire us. The unique designs during that time have been etched into our collective consciousness.

Eclectic interiors pick the very best from the time that has passed and match it with new trends of today. What happens when the 50s and 60s in Rebel Walls' own take make acquaintance with 2019? According to interior stylist Camilla Fürst it works just fine.

– To find the balance between now and then was an important part of the process when composing the interiors. Modern, but nodding at the 50s and 60s. Also, each wallpaper has its own personality that I wanted to highlight and emphasize, Camilla says regarding her thoughts about the styling process.

The carefree but expressively hand-painted flowers in the wallpaper Flower Parade brightens both the wall and the mind. The geometric color blocks found in the wallpaper Retro Geometry give us a bunch of infectious color combinations. A palette that requires being picked up and played within the rest of the interior. The wallpaper Perennial is inspired by a carefully planned perennial meadow, where the flowers return, just like the trends.

The strength and pride of the color palette in Nostalgia Anew is affecting. The patterns of the 50s and 60s took its place and made an impact. So does the retrospect.
